All Hands Are Helping Hands

To achieve our mandate, we require the help of many. We rely on the generosity of the volunteers who donate their time to the organization. With a paid staff of only 3 employees, the goodwill of volunteers is
needed for the Knights Table to remain successful.

Through our volunteer screening process, we assess the strengths of an individual and place them in one of the following:

Position Descriptions

Administrative Assistant

  • Answering telephones, providing customer service and taking messages for members of management.
  • Sort mail/e-mail
  • Input daily statistics in our databases - data entry
  • Filing sign-in sheets and other public domain documents
  • Other miscellaneous office tasks [top]

Volunteer Coordinator

  • Answering telephones, providing customer service and taking messages for members of management.
  • Sort mail/e-mail
  • Input daily statistics in our databases - data entry
  • Filing sign-in sheets and other public domain documents
  • Other miscellaneous office tasks [top]

Drivers (only required on specific shifts)

  • Needed Sunday to Saturday from 8am-11am
  • Must possess a valid driver's licence
  • Own vehicle preferred
  • Duties include picking up/distributing food donations from/to local sponsors [top]

Maintenance Worker

  • Taking out all garbage
  • Maintain and clean facility
  • Mopping and sweeping
  • Cleaning and restocking bathrooms
  • Cleaning kitchen stoves [top]

Food & Beverage Server

  • Assist cook as directed
  • Help to prepare meals
  • Clean-up/dishwashing [top]

Food Preparation

Floater

  • Maintain a clean common area during opperating hours
